After years of exploring various destinations, Everest Base Camp remained on our bucket list as that one intimidating challenge. The logistics alone seemed overwhelming, and we wondered if we could handle such a demanding trek at this stage of our lives. When we discovered Amigo Treks and Expedition's "Ultimate Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek," we were intrigued by the possibility of experiencing this legendary destination without sacrificing comfort. Arriving in Kathmandu: First Impressions Matter The moment we landed in Kathmandu, we knew we had made the right choice. After a lengthy international flight, the last thing anyone wants is confusion at the airport. The Amigo team was waiting with clear signage and immediately took care of our luggage and transportation to a well-appointed hotel in the city center. This attention to detail set the tone for what would become a consistently well-managed experience. Our exploration of Kathmandu Valley unfolded at a comfortable pace in a private vehicle, allowing us to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites without the usual tourist rush. The welcome dinner featured authentic Nepali cuisine and traditional cultural performances, providing meaningful context for the adventure ahead. These initial experiences demonstrated the company's understanding that a successful expedition begins long before reaching the mountains. The Journey Begins: Helicopter Transport to Lukla Rather than taking the standard commercial flight to Lukla, we traveled by private helicopter directly from Kathmandu. This decision proved transformative, offering unobstructed views of the Himalayan range and eliminating potential delays from weather-related flight cancellations. The helicopter approach also provided our first comprehensive view of the terrain we would be traversing, creating anticipation rather than anxiety about the challenge ahead. Upon landing in Lukla, our guides and support team were prepared and organized, facilitating a smooth transition from air travel to the beginning of our trek. This seamless coordination became a consistent theme throughout our expedition. Trekking with Professional Support The trek itself exceeded our expectations for both adventure and comfort. Our experienced guides managed all logistical elements, allowing us to focus entirely on the experience rather than worry about daily arrangements. The route through villages like Phakding and Namche Bazaar was carefully planned with appropriate acclimatization stops, demonstrating genuine concern for trekker safety and comfort. The accommodation selections along the route proved exceptional. Properties such as Yeti Mountain Home, Everest View Hotel, and Culture Home provided comfortable lodging with amenities rarely found at such altitudes. Features like heated rooms, quality bedding, and well-prepared meals addressed the practical challenges of high-altitude trekking while maintaining the authentic mountain experience we sought. These accommodations served a crucial function beyond comfort. After demanding days of trekking, proper rest and nutrition became essential for maintaining energy and enjoyment throughout the journey. The thoughtful selection of lodging directly contributed to our ability to complete the trek successfully. Reaching Our Destination: Base Camp and Kala Patthar The approach through Lobuche and Gorakshep built anticipation for the final objectives. Witnessing sunrise from Kala Patthar over Mount Everest provided the emotional highlight of our expedition. The following day's arrival at Everest Base Camp fulfilled a long-held goal and created a lasting sense of personal accomplishment. The consistent support throughout these final stages allowed us to remain present and engaged with the experience. Rather than managing fatigue or logistics concerns, we could appreciate the significance of reaching these iconic destinations and the remarkable landscape surrounding them. Efficient Return Journey The helicopter return to Kathmandu proved as valuable as the initial flight to Lukla. This approach avoided the lengthy trek back through familiar terrain and provided a final aerial perspective of our entire route. The efficiency of this return allowed more time for reflection and recovery before our departure from Nepal. Overall Assessment This expedition with Amigo Treks and Expedition successfully combined adventure with practical comfort. Several elements distinguished this experience from standard trekking packages. The inclusion of buffer days in the itinerary demonstrated realistic planning for mountain weather conditions. The quality of guides and support staff ensured both safety and cultural education throughout the journey. The comprehensive service approach eliminated routine concerns about meals, permits, and transportation. For travelers seeking a challenging adventure without compromising on service quality, this approach to Everest Base Camp proves highly effective. The experience delivered both the personal satisfaction of completing a demanding trek and the comfort level necessary for full enjoyment of this remarkable destination. The investment in professional planning and quality accommodations transformed what could have been an endurance test into a memorable and enriching travel experience. Our journey to Everest Base Camp will remain a highlight of our travel experiences, combining personal achievement with the discovery of Nepal's extraordinary mountain culture.

Seti Karnali Fishing Tour is the best destination if you enjoy fishing while rafting in III-grade rapids and enjoying peaceful isolated places with glimpses of wild animals. Seti and Karnali rivers are two major rivers in Nepal's far-western region, and they are home to more than 50 species of fish and other aquatic creatures. The white-water rivers that flow from the highest Himalayan peaks of the far western Himalayan region and the sacred Hindu pilgrimage site Manasarovar are home to a variety of fish species that steer and swim in pristine water.
Seti Karnali Fishing Package is designed for anglers who want to fish in undisturbed rivers and have a thrilling experience rafting in 3+ grade rapids while exploring the rustic life of river basin civilization's hilly people. The 15-day fishing trip begins with a scenic 1-hour flight to Dhangahdi airport, followed by a 7-hour drive to Dipayal, where we begin rafting with fishing in the Seti river for the first five days and float in Karnali river for the remaining days.
The Seti and Karnali rivers are home to rare and distinct fish species such as the Golden Mahseer (Tor putitora), Silver Masheer (Tor tor), and Sahar, Bokar, giant catfish, and Asia. Fishing and rafting enthusiasts enjoy catching Masheer and releasing it back into rivers because these fish are on the verge of extinction. Seti Karnali has famous fishing spots that local fishing veterans have used for centuries. Kohelpur, Jungle Ghat, Scorpian Beach, God's House, Juicer, Flip and Strip, Thulighat, and Rato Bhale Gaun have the most fish.

Welcome to Kathmandu – the capital city of Nepal. Today is your first day with Amigo Treks & Expedition. Therefore, we send one of our company representatives to receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), who will further escort you to a 5 * standard hotel located in Kathmandu. If possible, we also schedule a meeting at our office for the briefing regarding the trek followed by an introduction session with other team members (especially Sherpas and guides). Today, we also arrange a welcome dinner in one of the most popular local restaurants, where you can also enjoy ethnic dance and cultural music along with great Nepali food. If your flight arrives late, both the meeting and the dinner can be scheduled for the following day.

Amigo Treks & Expedition representative will transport you to Kathmandu domestic airport. After a scenic one-hour flight, we arrive at Nepalgunj airport and meet members of the rafting and fishing groups. Then we'll take a jeep ride to Kohalpur, where we'll connect with the east-west highway. After Kohalpur, we take the Mahakali Highway through beautiful Terai settlements, followed by a snaky highway through a hilly forest of rhododendron and pine trees. When we arrive in Syaule Bazar, we take a right turn and drive along the Seti Highway, passing through dense forests and beautiful farming terraces on both sides of the Seti River. After a 7-hour jeep ride, we arrive in the beautiful town of Dipayal Gopghat, which is located on the banks of the Seti River. When we arrived in Gopghat, we set up camp near the Seti Karnali River. Overnight in Tent.
Route notes
Today is our first day of fishing in Seti. We get up early in the morning, eat breakfast, and prepare the rafts. We begin rafting after being properly equipped and briefed by a rafting professional. One raft carrying rations and supplies precedes us and waits in Camp 1. For a while today, we float over Seti, passing beautiful farming terraces and settlements on both sides of the river. Today we will raft in a medium-grade rapid. We have a very peaceful feeling because of the lush vegetation, small streams, and waterfalls. We arrived at Camp 1 for lunch after a 3-4 hour rafting trip. We set up our fishing rods after lunch and fished all day. Because Goonch fish are active at night, we can also make a good catch at night.
Route notes
We begin fishing around Camp 1 early in the morning. We try fishing around every corner and have a good chance of catching Golden Mahseer, Goonch, and Asala. During the day, local farmers and animal herders may come to watch the fishing. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served at camp, as well as a campfire and night fishing. Spend the night in Camp 1.
Route notes
We begin rafting in a medium-level rapid after breakfast. We enjoy the view of the unspoiled forest on both sides of the river and pass by beautiful springs along the way. We'll have a picnic lunch and arrive at Camp 3 in the late afternoon. Camp 3 is located in a remote area surrounded by lush forest near the confluence of the Seti and Budhi Gangas. We'll spend the entire day angling around the confluence. Today's catch is also likely to include Himalayan trout, Sahar, Mashers, and Goonch. In the evening, we enjoy a campfire, a tasty meal, and night fishing. Spend the night in Camp 2.
Route notes
We'll spend the entire day fishing around Camp 2. We'll walk along Budi Ganga for an hour and fish there until lunch. We return to Camp for lunch and then go fishing in the nearby area. As usual, we set up camp, fished, and drank in the evening. Overnight stay in Camp 2
Route notes
After breakfast, we rafted to Camp 3, also known as Scorpion Camp. Today, we rafted in a remote area for three hours before arriving at Scorpion Camp. Scorpion Camp is located at the confluence of the Seti and Karnali rivers. After lunch, we fish around Camp 3 until the evening. A tranquil setting with bird twittering and glimpses of wild jackals, rabbits, and other birds. In the evenings, we enjoy a campfire, barbeque, and Goonch fishing. Overnight stay at Camp 3.
Route notes
We spent the entire day fishing around Camp 3. Camp 3 has a chance of catching Golden and Silver Masheer, as well as Bokar and giant catfish. We set up fishing rods at the Seti and Karnali rivers and caught more fish before returning them to the river. The confluence of the two rivers is the best place to catch migrating fish. Overnight stay at Camp 3.
Route notes
Today, after 5 days of rafting and fishing in Seti, we raft and enjoy the pristine water of the Karnali River. After breakfast, we rafted to our favorite fishing spot, Masheer Camp. After four hours of rafting across Karnali's III-grade rapids and through a narrow gorge, we arrive at Camp 4. We eat lunch at Masheer Camp and then set up a fishing rod to catch valuable golden and silver Masher. In the past, this location has caught 2-3 kg Mahlers. We have a campfire, snacks, drinks, and dinner in the evening. Masher Camp provides overnight accommodations.
Route notes
Today we will fish in the vicinity of Camp 4. After breakfast, we go fishing in the surrounding areas. Enjoy some photo shoots with our catches and angling with multiple catches. Camp 4 and the surrounding areas have more golden and silver Masheer, catfish, and Himalayan trout. In the evening, we enjoy a campfire, snacks, dinner, and a night angling for Goonch. Masher Camp provides overnight accommodations.
Route notes
We're only going rafting today. We raft all day through rapid currents of more than 3 grades and the Karnali gorge. In between, we'll have a picnic lunch. We arrived at Rato Bhale Gaun after an exciting rafting adventure and set up camp. We will have a campfire, snacks, and dinner in the evening. Rato Bhale Gaun is where you'll spend the night.
Route notes
After breakfast, we rafted for three hours to Ghat Gaun. When we arrive in Ghat Gaun, we will set up camp on the riverbank and begin angling in the Karnali River. Today, we meet other local fishing veterans who have spent their entire lives fishing. Today, we like to catch catfish, Asala, and Mashers, among other things. Anglers can also try to catch Goonch in the evening and enjoy a campfire and dinner. Stay the night in Ghat Gaun.
Route notes
After breakfast, we go fishing for a while before rafting to Chisapani, the rafting put-in point. Chiapani is a beautiful tourist destination located at the bottom of a hill where Karnali broadens and enters the Terai area. We drive to Nepalgunj after lunch with local fish in Chisapani to catch a late afternoon flight to Kathmandu. When you arrive at Kathmandu domestic airport, an Amigo Treks & Expedition representative will take you to your hotel.
